Doula Services/Roles:  

Doulas provide emotional & physical support & comfort throughout the prenatal period, during labour and continuing through the early postpartum period.  As a Naturopathic Doctor Doula, I can provide an experienced, educated and objective viewpoint in order to assist you in making informed decisions. 

 

It is my role to: 

• Become familiar with your Birth Plan and assist in implementing your preferences regarding labour management.  I will advocate for you and your baby and facilitate communication between families & their healthcare providers. 

• Remain as a constant support throughout the labour and birth process. Utilizing my tools as a naturopathic doctor, including Herbs, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Visualizations, Massage, TENS and Hydrotherapy to enhance labour while easing pain and fear. 

• Provide guidance and support to partners, allowing them to participate at their own comfort level.

• Assist in creating an ideal atmosphere for the birth experience at home or in the hospital.

   

Service includes: One free 15 minute meet & greet. 2 prenatal visits, either virtual or in clinic. Labour & delivery support as well as 1 post-partum visit in your home, hospital or by phone, your preference.  In addition I provide unlimited text, email & phone support throughout the pregnancy as needed.  Total cost is $1800 and may be covered by some extended health care plans.
